Privacy Policy

CarportFit is designed to work without a user account. This policy explains the limited information that may be processed when you browse the site, use sizing or matching tools, contact us or follow an outbound commercial link.

Information you provide directly

Public CarportFit pages do not require registration. If you contact CarportFit by email, the message naturally includes the email address you use and any information you choose to include. That information may be used to respond, investigate a reported correction, maintain a record of a source issue or handle a legitimate site-related inquiry.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, government identifiers, health information or other sensitive personal information. CarportFit does not need that information to research carport products, provider service areas or site-content corrections.

Calculator and Finder inputs

CarportFit tools may ask for project information such as vehicle or RV dimensions, available site width and length, desired clearance, structure preference, foundation surface, purchase path or general climate priorities. Those inputs are intended to be processed in the browser to produce planning results. Normal tool use does not require a name, account, email address or exact street address.

When installed-provider filtering uses geography, the site should request only the level of location detail needed for the feature. State-level filtering may be sufficient for an initial shortlist; a merchant or provider may separately request a ZIP code or address on its own site to confirm final availability.

Google Analytics configuration

CarportFit may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate use of the site. The production page template loads Google Analytics with analytics consent denied by default. After a visitor interacts with a page, the shared layout script may update analytics consent so aggregate page and tool events can be measured.

The current template requests IP anonymization, disables Google Signals and ad-personalization signals, and sets Google Analytics client storage to none. CarportFit uses this restrained configuration to understand which pages and tools are useful without requiring a user account or intentionally building an advertising profile through this site.

Tool and engagement events

CarportFit may measure events such as a Finder start or completion, a no-match result, comparison use, calculator completion or a click from a result to a product/provider page. Event parameters are intended to describe the tool, product family, match rank or commercial category at a general level rather than transmit free-text messages, email addresses or sensitive personal information.

Vehicle or project inputs should not be treated as identity data. CarportFit's analytics design should avoid sending unnecessarily precise free-form dimensions, addresses or other data when a coarse event label is sufficient to understand site usage.

Commercial-link measurement

CarportFit routes commercial links through paths beginning with /go/. When you click one of those links, the site may send an analytics event describing the commercial slug, destination partner/category and visible link text. This helps determine whether a shopping or quote resource is useful and whether a route is functioning correctly.

CarportFit does not receive your payment-card number, merchant account password or full checkout details through that click event. If you continue to a retailer, marketplace, configurator or installed provider, that third party handles its own transaction, quote process and privacy practices.

Hosting, security and technical request data

CarportFit is served through web-hosting and network infrastructure. Like other websites, hosting, content-delivery, security and network providers may process technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser/user-agent information, requested URL, timestamps and security-related request characteristics. Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy practices.

Third-party websites and provider configurators

CarportFit links to manufacturers, retailers, marketplaces, technical references, installed providers and other third parties. Once you leave CarportFit, the destination site's privacy policy and tracking practices apply. A CarportFit commercial relationship does not give CarportFit control over a merchant's checkout, quote form, cookies, financing application, installer scheduling or account system.

Some installed providers use ZIP codes, addresses, phone numbers or contact forms to confirm delivery territory, pricing and installation. Information entered on those third-party systems is governed by the provider's privacy practices, not this policy.

Affiliate and referral programs

Some merchants, affiliate networks or referral partners may attribute a purchase, deposit, quote or referral after you follow a commercial link. The destination merchant or network determines the attribution technology and data used on its own services. CarportFit may receive reporting such as clicks, orders, commissions or aggregate conversion information from a partner, subject to that partner's system and agreement.

Children's privacy

CarportFit is a general information and purchase-planning site and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to CarportFit, use the Contact page so the issue can be reviewed.

Retention and deletion requests

Email correspondence and correction records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, document a content correction, prevent abuse or maintain normal business records. If you have contacted CarportFit directly and want to ask about personal information contained in that correspondence, use the same email channel identified on the Contact page.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the site's tools, analytics, hosting or commercial relationships change. Material changes should be reflected on this page together with an updated revision date.
