1. Planning and comparison resource

CarportFit organizes published information and user-entered assumptions to help compare carport sizes, exact products, structure types and installed providers. Results are intended to narrow choices and expose relevant tradeoffs. They are not engineering drawings, construction documents, permits, certifications, inspections or guarantees that a product is suitable for a particular property.

2. Verify the exact product and configuration

Carport specifications may vary by width, length, height, roof style, frame option, panel orientation, enclosure, anchor package, manufacturing location or product generation. Before purchasing or installing a structure, verify the exact SKU or configured structure against current manufacturer documentation and the seller's order details.

Nominal labels such as 20×20 or “12-ft high” are not necessarily the dimensions used by CarportFit for hard fit. Where available, the site distinguishes roof coverage, frame footprint, overall footprint, entrance height, sidewall height, truss clearance and peak height.

3. Vehicle and RV measurements are your responsibility

Fit tools depend on accurate input. For an RV, trailer, boat or vehicle with rooftop equipment, mirrors, racks, ladders, antennas, air conditioners, solar panels or other projections, enter the actual maximum dimensions relevant to the intended parking path and stored position. Do not rely on a model-class label when the real dimensions are available.

A calculated margin is only as reliable as both the entered vehicle dimensions and the documented carport clearance. CarportFit does not inspect your vehicle or site.

4. Structural, wind and snow information

Manufacturer-published wind speeds, snow loads or engineering statements can be useful comparison evidence, but they may depend on exact configuration, anchoring, foundation, exposure assumptions, enclosure, installation method or other documented conditions. CarportFit does not convert a marketing claim into local code approval.

You are responsible for confirming the exact configured structure, engineering package, anchoring/foundation and applicable requirements for the project location with the manufacturer, seller, local authority and qualified professionals as appropriate.

5. Foundation, anchoring and installation

CarportFit may summarize manufacturer-published foundation, slab, footing, anchor and installation information. It does not prescribe universal slab thicknesses, footing dimensions, anchor spacing, embedment, soil capacity or fastener selection. Site conditions and exact structural systems matter, and instructions for one product must not be applied to another merely because the structures look similar.

Before digging, drilling, trenching or placing anchors, use appropriate utility-locating and site-safety practices and follow the current instructions and local requirements applicable to the actual project.

6. Installed-provider information

Provider records may summarize documented service areas, online-order models, manufacturer relationships and structure families. A state-level or category-level match does not guarantee that a provider serves a specific ZIP code, accepts a particular site, offers a requested engineered configuration, or will quote the same price shown elsewhere.

Providers control their own pricing, deposits, financing, scheduling, delivery, installation, warranties, cancellations and customer-service policies. Review the provider's current terms before ordering.

7. Prices, availability and project-cost estimates

Prices, promotions, shipping charges, deposits and inventory can change without notice. Observed prices may be stored with a date for comparison, but CarportFit does not promise live pricing unless a page explicitly says otherwise. A project-cost calculator is an estimate based on entered assumptions and does not constitute a contractor bid or merchant quote.

Complete project cost can include site preparation, gravel or concrete, anchors, delivery, installation, permits, drainage work, electrical work, enclosure options, gutters, accessories and other items beyond the advertised carport price.

8. Fit Scores and Data Confidence

A CarportFit Fit Score is a buyer-fit ranking based on documented criteria and the inputs selected by the visitor. It is not a structural safety score, quality rating, engineering approval, hands-on review score or probability that a purchase will satisfy every local requirement.

Data Confidence is separate from Fit Score. Missing or conflicting documentation may reduce confidence in the affected criterion without automatically making the product poor. A high Fit Score does not override a missing critical dimension or unresolved structural condition.

9. External links and commercial relationships

CarportFit may link to manufacturers, retailers, marketplaces, provider configurators and other third parties. Some outbound links may be affiliate or referral links, which can result in compensation to CarportFit. Commercial relationships must not influence product eligibility, Fit Score, Data Confidence, reported specifications, result ordering or the disclosure of material tradeoffs.

Third-party sites are responsible for their own content, pricing, transactions, privacy practices and services. CarportFit does not control an external merchant or installer.

10. Intellectual property and acceptable use

CarportFit's original text, site design, normalized datasets, comparison organization, calculation logic and presentation are protected to the extent provided by applicable law. You may use the site for ordinary personal research. Do not use automated means to overload the service, bypass reasonable access controls, republish substantial portions of the site as a competing database, or misrepresent CarportFit content as an engineering certification or manufacturer statement.

11. No warranty

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. CarportFit aims to use current, traceable sources, but manufacturers and providers can change documentation and errors can occur. To the extent permitted by law, no warranty is made that every page, calculation, product record, provider record, external link or price observation is complete, current or error-free.

12. Limitation of responsibility

You remain responsible for purchase, site preparation, permitting, construction, anchoring, installation and use decisions. CarportFit is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on outdated third-party information, inaccurate user inputs, installation errors, local-code issues, site conditions or third-party products and services, subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Changes and corrections

Content, tools and these terms may be updated as the product market, source documentation and site functionality change. If you identify a factual problem, use the Contact page and include a current source when possible.
